Peter Stosius started the commercial construction tradition (initially through Stosius Constructions) back in 1972. Today, Stosius & Staff directors Peter and his son John continue building on a solid reputation through:

Meet the team
- Peter StosiusManaging Director
Peter founded Stosius Constructions in 1972 after gaining a valuable reputation as director of a leading commercial builder. Peter’s passion and hands-on involvement has resulted in a loyal, stable team.
With a lifetime of building experience, careful financial management and development success, all which are widely acknowledged, Peter continues to work closely with architects, clients and financiers in planning, consulting, developing and managing projects.
- John StosiusDirector
Peter’s son John joined the company in 1996, working on site (in the trenches) while gaining his Diploma of Applied Science Building Construction at RMIT. Over the years, through a wide variety of jobs and positions he has developed solid expertise in the planning and efficient execution of complex building works.
John has led the development of crucial management and work training, while also building up a wide range of plant and equipment. John has been a director since the formation of Stosius and Staff Constructions in 2004.
- Stuart JardineSenior Project Manager and Estimator
Stuart started working with Peter in 1975, while studying at Melbourne University. He too has worked on site while developing his management skills. In close to 40 years with the company, Stuart has ‘worn many hats’, and has been responsible for managing and successfully delivering over 300 projects in all sectors of the industry.
- Jarrod (Fred) BurnsProject Administrator
Jarrod has 20 years’ industry experience, and has been with Stosius & Staff for seven years. He has worked on major infrastructure projects, and has completed hundreds of minor works for RMIT and other institutions.
Jarrod has also been involved with projects for a large number of Melbourne metropolitan councils.
- Dave GreenstreetMaintenance Sector Manager
Dave has been with Stosius & Staff for 11 years, from the time when he did his carpentry apprenticeship with the company, after emigrating from New Zealand. Dave has completed numerous tickets, from OH&S to plant operations. Aside from his current maintenance management position, Dave has been in charge of building jobs up to the value of $2.5 million.
- Site Personnel
The ‘staff’ in the name Stosius and Staff is there for good reason: the company knows that their people are their backbone. Stosius has built up a stable team of committed site managers, foremen and leading hands. The same goes for the tradesmen, apprentices and skilled labourers — all multi skilled, well trained, mentored and equipped to safely and successfully complete the widest range of projects. The Stosius site personnel are employees, permanent members of the team, not ‘contractors’ engaged for a one-off job only. They are the company’s best ambassadors.

As with the rest of the team, key administration staff have been committed members of the Stosius team for many years. This wealth of industry experience makes sure all client communication and documentation is professionally handled.
